A day at the Children's Village

Discover skiing, enjoy games and relax in a cosy setting for 3- to 4-year-olds
At the Avoriaz Children’s Village, 3- to 4-year-olds discover the snow in a safe, reassuring environment designed especially for their age group. Under the supervision of qualified instructors and activity leaders, they enjoy a balance of first experiences on skis, snow play and quieter moments, allowing them to learn, have fun and enjoy the mountains at their own pace.

For an even fuller day, you can add a hot lunch and afternoon activities. Everything is carefully designed to support your little one’s well-being, helping them enjoy their first snow adventures with confidence, comfort and plenty of fun.
9:10
Children are welcomed outdoors by an activity leader, already dressed in their ski gear. Each child is assigned a group according to their age and ability level – then the adventure begins! Activities start at 09:15 am.
10:30
After a snack break, it’s time for a variety of snow-based activities, helping children discover the mountains while having fun.
11:45
For children attending the morning session only, it’s time to head home with Mum and Dad. Those signed up for lunch (optional) enjoy a hot meal served in the Village restaurant.
1:00
A short rest in a dedicated room.
1:30
The afternoon brings more snowy fun! Children head back outside, ready for skiing or snow games with their group.
4:00
The day comes to an end, and parents can collect their children from their group meeting point. Alternatively, children enrolled in the optional evening programme can head indoors with their favourite activity leader for more fun and entertainment – with a different programme every evening.
5:30
It’s time to say goodbye to the Village and see you again tomorrow for another day of mountain adventures!

Frequently asked questions

At the children's village, it's not just about learning to ski – it's a whole world of mountain discovery and snow-filled adventures:
  • Children's Village tour & musical dance sessions
  • Snowshoe outings
  • Treasure hunts
  • Giant group games: giant bowling, beret game, curling and more
  • Yooner rides

  • Sledging and snow skating
  • Flash mobs
  • Mini Olympics
  • Ice rink outing*
  • Visit to the Seraussaix farm*
  • Music quizzes and more...

    * Subject to programme and weather conditions.
Can my 3- and 4-year-old children be placed in the same group?
  • In that case, the older child would need to join the 3-year-old group, but they may find the activities insufficiently challenging.
  • Children aged 3 and 4 are not placed together, as their pace of learning and skill progression differ significantly.
  • We therefore recommend keeping them in separate groups. They will ski in nearby areas during their lessons and can still spend time together during lunch and activity sessions.
What happens if my child is too tired or doesn't want to ski?
A member of our childcare team is always available indoors in case a child becomes upset, feels cold or simply gets too tired. They will take care of your child, comfort them and, if needed, arrange a short nap or some quiet time to rest.
As soon as your child feels better, they will be rejoined with their group so they can continue enjoying the day's activities.
How are meals organised?
  • Children have lunch inside the Children's Village chalet.
  • At the end of the morning lesson, the ski instructors hand the children over to the activity leaders who supervise lunchtime.
  • A hot meal, cheese and dessert are served at the table by the activity leaders.
  • At 1:30 PM, the activity leaders accompany the children back to their ski instructor for the afternoon lesson.
Does my child need a lift pass?
If a child progresses well, their instructor may decide that they are ready to use a ski lift. In this case, a lift pass will be required.

For children under the age of 5, the lift pass is free of charge. It can be collected from the lift pass office upon presentation of the child's ID or proof of age. The lift pass is free of charge.
Who will be supervising my child?
To help your child take their first steps on the snow, a qualified activity leader will be there to guide them and look after their well-being throughout the day.
