The Children's Village in winter
1,000m² of indoor space and 5 hectares of outdoor space dedicated to children
Ideally located in the heart of the Avoriaz resort, the Children's Village allows you to drop your child off and then easily ski to the Portes du Soleil ski area.
Designed entirely with children in mind, the Village chalet offers:
- A reception area where our team is available to answer any questions you may have
- Four activity rooms, each tailored to a specific age group
- An entertainment room
- Child-friendly toilet facilities
- A restaurant
A welcome tailored to every age group:
- In the morning, children are welcomed outside the chalet with their skis on.
- From the age of 5, they head straight onto the slopes with their group and instructor.
- Children aged 3 and 4 enjoy activities in a secure area next to the chalet, specially designed to help them discover snow and skiing in a fun, reassuring environment under the guidance of their ski instructor.
Security
The Children's Village is an officially approved leisure centre, recognised by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports, providing reassurance that children are cared for to the highest standards of safety, welfare and supervision.
- Ski and snowboard activities are led by fully qualified instructors, while leisure activities are organised by BAFA-qualified activity leaders.
Every effort is made to ensure your child enjoys a safe and supervised environment:
- In the morning, at lunchtime and at the end of the day, activity leaders check each child's arrival and departure according to the arrangements made with parents (collection times, authorised accompanying adults, etc.).
- The dedicated area for 3–4 year-olds is fully secure, with small group sizes ensuring each child receives individual attention.
- Ski and snowboard lessons are supervised by professional esf instructors, specially trained to guide children safely throughout the Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil ski areas.

The team
Our BAFA-qualified activity leaders
Throughout the winter season, our BAFA-qualified activity leaders look after children with care, enthusiasm and attention, reflecting the spirit and values of the Children's Village.
- For younger children aged 3–4, they ensure a smooth and reassuring experience throughout the day. From their first slides on the snow in the secure learning area to indoor games, creative workshops and mealtimes, our activity leaders are there every step of the way.
- For children aged 5 and over, activity leaders take over from the ski instructors during indoor activities and supervise lunchtime and recreational periods.

Lessons are delivered by a dedicated team of fully qualified esf instructors whose mission is to share their passion for skiing and snowboarding, support each child's progress and help them build confidence on the slopes in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
